Congratulations on selecting Iqra Academy. You are about to make a wise investment in your child(ren)’s future.
Iqra Academy is a full time private Islamic day school for grades K through 12 serving families in the Greater Springfield and neighboring areas. Iqra Academy offers strong academics within a safe, nurturing, fun Islamic environment. Our graduates will excel in academics and behavior in the colleges and universities they matriculate to.

PROCEDURES
1. SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION
• Complete the enrollment application forms (one form per child for new students) along with a $50 non-refundable application fee (new students only) and a 10% tuition deposit.
• Proof of birth—copy of birth certificate or passport.
• Updated immunization and medical records.
• Copies of student’s academic records from previous school- including standardized testing results for previous two years.
• Signed release of records form by the parents.
• Any and all psychological evaluations or individualized educational plans if applicable.
• Completed emergency, photo release, and pick-up release forms.
2. REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS
• Each application and supporting documents will be reviewed. Any problem with admission will be communicated in writing to the parents.
• Students will be allowed to attend classes only after registration package is completed.
• School reserves the right to deny or revoke admission to students if records show false or misleading information on application forms.
• All enrolled students will be on provisional admission for the first three months.
3. ACADEMIC PROBATION
If a student is admitted to Iqra Academy and does not perform academically up to the expected standards, that student will be placed on academic probation. If at the end of academic probation period, student is still not able to perform up to the expected standard, student will be eligible for expulsion.
4. ENROLLMENT PRIORITY
Enrollment priority is according to the following guidelines:
1. Students already enrolled at Iqra Academy.
2. Staff member children on a first come, first served basis.
3. Siblings of students of Iqra Academy on a first come, first served basis.

5. AGE GUIDELINES
Guidelines for KG:
Students must be fully toilet trained before admittance to school.
• KG child must be 5 years of age by the start of the school year.
• First grade child must be 6 years of age by the start of the school year.
Iqra Academy reserves the right to decline admission to students who require specialized instructions, have certain learning disabilities, have behavioral problems, or ESL issues which are beyond the scope of the school. The school does not have the resources to properly serve these students. A recommendation will be made to the parents to find other more appropriate accommodations for these students. Final recommendations will be made by the Board of Directors, which includes the Principal.
