Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have good Islamic values, good
knowledge of Islam and fluency in the English Language. Applicants should
have Bachelors degree or higher in closely related fields and should be
authorized to work in the U.S.A. Good Communication skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Applicants for teaching positions should have
some experience teaching in the U.S. Teacher certified in related field or
willing to be certified is preferable. Experience working socio-economically
disadvantaged and culturally diverse backgrounds is also preferred.
Mathematic Instructor: Math teachers will have work in elementary, middle and high school
classrooms. They will teach required mathematics curriculum to their students, which may
include helping them prepare for standardized tests and college entrance exams.
They will instruct students in the broad field of mathematics. This can include general math
or any of the related courses of algebra, calculus, or geometry, create lesson plans, assign and
correct homework, manage students in the classrooms; they also assess student’s progress and
abilities throughout the school year and communicate with parents.
Math teachers may be required to supervise study halls or home rooms, extracurricular activities
or field trips. They may also provide assistance to students in choosing further courses of study in
high school or college.
